PG RSD's - Any1 have measurements? Tweets, Pics? Making Kickpanels

Hey

Im building an enclosure for my PG RSD's that were orderred today and Id like to get a head start so the enclosure is done for when they get here.

I wasnt able to find out the exact measurements on what hole size to cutout for them to mount into, and was hoping someone could give me a dimension on how big the OD of the speaker was aswell.

Im also gonna have the tweeter mounted in there aswell, anyone have a pic and whokle cutout for these? Im probly going to end up using the swivel mount if that makes a difference

Also, i plan on using these with the grilles they came with since they look pretty cool and Id like to not kick the speaker, would this interfer with flushmounting at all? Is it even worth it to flush mount these drivers?

Since these kicks are gonna be sealed, does internal volume really matter with midbass drivers?

Yes.

You can choke a midbass just the same as you can choke a sub.

Since most car audio mids are designed to be used IB, what many people do is play with varying sizes of openings in the rear of the enclosure, vented into the carpet in a sort of pseudo-IB/pseudo-AP setup. Then others take it all the way and actually vent the kickpanels either into the A-pillars or to a vent/etc outside of the car for a true IB alignment.

Others just leave them sealed, because their driver performs to their standards in the size enclosure they designed their kicks to be.

I don't know the specs for those mids and have not played with them to be able to tell you what to expect or how to use them for best performance.......but the moral of the story is that yes, it is important.

Let me know how you like them. I just recieved my set yesterday, but I am pretty busy, so might not get them installed for a while.

alrighty thanks for that manual, says the cutout is 5.6" for the driver and 5/8" for the tweet, time to start glassing

the cut out for the tweeter is 2" not 5/8. if you want to flush mount them you'll need a 2" hole.
