perfect 6.1 troubleshoot

i got some comps (infinity perfect 6.1s) and i can't get them to operate normal. i am not amping them yet i wanna break them in on my HU till i go get some more wire and new batt terminal.

anyway the problem: out of my HU wiring harness there is two wires for the front left. one is solid white. the other white with black stripe. my after market wire is one line blue the other silver. i hooked the blue to the white with black strip and the silver to the solid. then i ran those to my passive. i put the blue into the positive and the silver into the negative. then the woofer out i put the blue as the positive and the silver as the negative and ran it the same way to my woofer. will it sounded like a REALLY bad am radio station when i put a cd on so then i tried switching the silver and blue on the power line to passive and switched it the same on my woofer. still bad sound. respliced my wires and double checked all conections and nothing is wrong but still the static-ish sound. what else could be wrong guys? i tried both speakers and no good still //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif needless to say i am pissed. help?

what problems could be assciated with the HU?

i don't have the tweeter in yet does that mean anything? does the passive have to have some sort of complete circuit to divide the frequencies out properly

your all butt munchers give me the answer now. does the voltage on the HU have to maintain a certain output when running through a passive?
