anyone here use any prs guitars for playing metal. main style wouldbe like all that remains, as i lay dyin, hatebreed, children of bodom etc.

i used to own one but havent played one in years and dont remember how its setup persay.

second choice is just to go wih esp or jackson, which is a more obvious choice i guess

PRS are excellent guitars for a wide range of music. Metal, alternative, etc all sound very nice on these. I believe breaking benjamin and chevelle both use them.

I am a big Hamer guitar fan.

I agree with this man, just throw some emg 81/85 pickups on there. No sense in paying for a PRS when Ibanez or hell even ESP would be a decent choice.

Most "metal" bands use ibanez, ESP, and a lot are picking up on Schecter now.

prs, the real ones made here, are the biggest rip off eva, and they were bought also i think around last yearish, so that makes em even worse.
