Parking Brake Bypass on a Pioneer AVH-3100

Whats the proper way to do this? I have a toggle switch so if I just connect the switch to the parking brake (green) wire from the harness and then connect the other end to a ground it will work? I read up and some say to do a relay but a switch doesn't bother me. Do you HAVE to have a relay? Or will the toggle switch suffice?

On mine we ran the green wire to an unused switch I had in my dash, and grounded it to the radio ground wire. Works like a charm.
