Nothing too special just something I thought id share with you guys...Two weeks until graduation (collision/refinishing) and im quite a bit ahead in the shop so I didnt have anything to do and didnt want to take my a3000db apart and powdercoat it b/c of people asking questions/wanting to know what I have/secruity. So after some thinking I figured ahh what the hell and painted the face plate case/holder. Took about two hours including prep, mixing a paint I liked,cleaning the gun(s), flash time(s), clear, and baking. In the end I went through about $300 in paint trying to mix up something that I liked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif. Ended up using a high gloss red with a good amount of fine metallic and a touch of graphitan black & metallic orange toner along with 5-6 coats of clear considering the beating it takes in the console. The finger prints kinda screw it up in the 1st pic but oh well. Pics of alarm remote at bottom...

shoulda powdercoated the amp, but that looks good...not worth 2 hrs and $300 IMO...you didn't pay for it did you?

Thanks guys. As for the amp I might take it apart this weekend, go in on monday and powder coat it black real quick then put it back together monday night. If I do ill post up some pics.

As for if I had to pay the 300 or if it was free. Depends on how you look at it. I didnt drop 300 last night for it but at the same time I paid 30k cash to come here for only 9 months so im definetly getting my moneys worth. For the two hours time it took it was eitheir do that or literally just sit there and do nothing.

Heres some pics of the alarm remote python 871xp. Black base, gold metallic midcoat, and a magenta candy top coat + clear. I kinda messed up the front scraping the paint off to glue the python emblem back on but oh well shit happens. A friend of mine had a good idea for the amp. The way people are is if you bring anything in they flock around you and ask all sorts of questions etc which I dont like so my buddy said hell just tell them its your friends and you know nothing about it...then that way the wont suspect itll be in my truck. I just have to get some powder as the school wont supply that for us but its pretty cheap and find some time to media blast it since people have been using the media booth to paint the last few days.

I guess I will be the one to say it since I read everything you said. Since you did not pay for that even though your schooling is expensive as hell, then very nice job. I would have went with a different color, but to each its own.
