Overpowered Assassin

I just got one of the new 12" AA Assassins and I'm going to use a BXI606 to power it. The RMS rating for the sub is 250W and the BXI is gonna pump 300W to it. How delicate should I be with the gain to make sure I'm not overpowering?

Not too much of a difference between 250 and 300, just make sure you don't crank the gains into distortion and send the sub square waves. If you do that you'll be smelling burning coils quick.

But if you want to be sure and just set it to 250 watts, just use a DMM. Read the gain setting tutorial in the sticky section, it'll tell you all you need to know.

The Assassin will laugh at 300 watts. Itll be fine.
