Its not BS, its marketting. Notice they dont say xmax, just excursion. This could just be xmech and they conveniently dont tell you this. 4" P-P "mechanically" isnt that tough to pull off.

full motion of the woofer is in fact 4 inches. That sub set a NJ record in SPL competitions and i was lucky enough to go to one where the record was broken. That sub is an amazing machine. If you think that is insane wait till you get your eyes on a pair of 34" audiobahn subwoofers.
