I have run into a problem with powering my 4 ohm DVC subwoofer. I had planned on using a JBL 180.2 but it turns out that the amp is not stable at 2 ohms bridged so I would have to run it bridged at 8 ohms and only get 180 out of 360 watts.
I think I MAY have found a solution to the problem. I have an Orion XTR 500 in my other car. The specs are below
Power output 4 ohms= 125 x 2
Power output 2 ohms= 250 x 2
Power output 4 ohms Mono= 500 x 1
My question here is can I wire the =/- from left side to one of the +/- of the sub and the right side +/- to the other side fo the sub +/-? Will this yield 250+250 watts at 4 ohms? Thanks for the help.
