Orion HCCA 12D What's the best size box????

I had been running an Orion HCCA 12D in their reccommended size 2.25 with 4X12 port for two years....the box was damaged as my leaky trunk split it open. I know this sub can sound better and I was unable to find anything searching on here....any other size box I should look into making this time. I have the specs if that helps. I am feeding it 1200 watts at 1 OHM so power isn't a problem.

Edit - I would like to get as much SQ that I can out of this sub (I know it won't be that much) and hopefully have it tuned lower than my last box at 32hz.

i had my hcca15d in a 4ft box tuned around 30(46in^2 port), it sounded real good, hit low, LOW. my friend has the hcca10d in a 1.75ft box tuned at 45(12in^2 port), hits real hard!!! doesn't go very low.

Now I need you to find a friend with a 12D! Thanks for the info...I gotta dig up my manual (has the specs for all 3 sizes) and see how those two boxes compare to what they recommended.

I am now thinking back to when I was running the Orion (been over a year since I've had it installed) and I didn't use a subsonic filter. So let me ask this....how much WORSE was my box sounding trying to push frequencies below 32hz....and are there any inexpensive ways to add a filter inline somewhere?
