I'm thinking about rockin 2 of these bad boys... I don't know much about them, I'd build the box to my liking obviously, but I was just trying to get an overall opinion on SPL, SQL, durability, etc... I used to run one 12 HCCA, tuned to 40Hz, off of a Memphis 1000D in a single cab truck with a cutt out and made 141.?db. They are very good and can take a beating, mainly used for SPL but they do retain decent SQL. Would I run another one today? I dunno..... there's a bigger selection today than what we used to have and they are kinda pricy. But like a said, 8 or so years ago, they were one of the leading SPL subs.

What they were like 8 years ago really doesn't mean much to the current model or market. No offense, just saying.

I think it was SnoopDan tried a couple out, the current model, in his wall and was very unhappy with the results in terms of output. I dont really know much beyond that.

interesting.... k now lets compare 2 of these to 2 RL-S???? obviously more sq w/ the RL-S... but is it really that much of a difference in SPL.... prolly 2-3000 Watts???

I think they great with enough power, I had a 10" and sold it to CRXBUMPN and Im pretty sure he was impressed with it also. i thought he said the numbers were skewed anyways cause he put two 15"s in a wall designed for two 18"s ( so waaaay to much volume for them)

or maybe i have a shitty memory

It was a wall designed for different size, but iirc the internal volume actually worked out about right for those subs. I may remember wrong though. Maybe he will chime in and tell us.

Not true. I dont know why you have this obsession with me and this.

Anyways. IMO the HCCA's **** for spl, but are ok for like SQL installs or if you're hurting on space and need a sealed application. They get stinky pretty quickly though when I tried them out. Plus that bolt pattern on them sucks.
