Orion H2 vs JL w6

Hey. Im looking to get new subs, mine just got stolen. I listen to mostly rock music so I need a sub that can keep up. I had Image Dynamics IDQs and they sounded awesome. I am just trying to get something new. What would yall recommend? A JL w6 or Orion H2?

Neither will be better for rock then what you already have, in my opinion.

Well, I wanted something different since I have a chance to. But, I might go back to the IDQs.

I have looked into other subs, and I have narrowed it down between JL and Orion...

I have never heard the Orion but the W6's are very well rounded subs and will sound good on almost any type of music. Get a couple of them and port them in a box tuned low with about 40 inches of port area.

How about a w6 vs a IDMax?

the idmax will kill the w6 in sq and spl-what kind of car is this going into? if a truck i would run 1 w6 in a sealed powered by 1 jl 500 mono. if a car id get a idmax

never heard the idmax or the orion but i can say that my 10w6v2 treated me very well

^jl is a good product... but not for the money..

definatly go with orion over jl... the h2 Fing pounds and its wonderful for that quick bass

but for rock music you may want to try a re sx

or check out soundsplinter they have a quality product going right now

having played with both subs, i would say that the W6v2 would be a better choice for rock type music. the H2 is louder but i stongly believe that the W6v2 has better SQ and quicker response (given the right enclosure)
