Orion 7005 anygood for $250 new

Well I just got a great deal on one Orion 7005.. I was trying for the PPI PCX-5800 but all sold out. That sucks... ;-( I just wanted to hear if anyone has used this amp. I only payed 250 for it new in seal factory box. I know that this amp isn't as good as the PPI.. Please any inputs about this amp would be great. This amp will be powering 2 sets of sony 6 1/2 and two Polk 124GNX subs. This should be an upgrade from my JVC 4channel and my Profile 600xms amp.

Well, the sub part is 150 WRMS (300 if ran @ 2 OHM)

This is an amp for a small setup, like 4 X 50 WRMS for corners + 1 X 150 for the sub.

If you say you have SUBS, means you have more than ONE... Then, at least, wire them parallel, you'll put a 2 OHM load on the amp, hence giving you 300 WRMS, which is still quite low for 2 SUBS IMO....

Anyway, the best is you gotta see for yourself.

Well I just installed the Orion 7005 amp and it is well under rated in watts... at less than half gain the two polk 124GNX subs at 2ohms hit 106dB... not that bad for an amp rated at 300Watts rms at 2Ohms much better than my Profile 600msx amp at 3/4 gain and rated at 410watts rms I was only hitting 98dB...
