Orion 2500D question. How much power will it kick out at .5 ohm?

I see that a few people run their 2500's at .5 ohm.

I'm gonna get an 200 amp alt, with the big 3 with 1/0 AWG and retain my stock battery, and run it off of that.

Approximately, how much power will it be seeing at .5 ohm?

don't forget to factor in imp. rise as well.

How would I be able to gauge impedance rise?

w/ out an alt upgrade and more abtteries you wont get a high output for long before the battery is drained and the alt is over strained....+ then you have to worry bout imp rise....SEARCH

I believe that Mark Potts said it does 3300 @ .5 ohm on 17v. Not sure what it does on 14.4v.

I don't know what kind of rise I'll be getting...

I just want to know what power it will output at that nominal impedance in a perfect world, without rise like the figures of 2500 Watts @ 1 ohm 13.8V and 1700 Watts @ 2 ohms 13.8 were gathered.

Just want a rough figure.

rough estimate 1500-2800 watts.

It produces 2500 @ 1ohm. So just figure you will get that.

Where the hell can I get one for that price? I'm not paying $800 for an amp.

ebay had the wcc5000d for 449 shipped, its the same amp!!! same internals just pop the west coast custom logo off of the front. Termpro.com has pics of the internals of both amps.
