ordering an edk tonight, need amp suggestions.

im getting a edk12.44 sub tonight, and i need some ideas. i would like an amp thats puts out 400 watts at 2 ohms, costs under 200 bucks, and has a subsonic filter as i will be porting this biatch. anyone have any suggestions?

Id get a Profile 802 (?), does around 600@2ohms its like 150 on ebay, doesnt have a subsonic filter but you will be fine with out one if you tune to 33hz on down. Just dont play 10Hz test tones.

u can get a profile cl 600m

it isnt 400 at 2 ohm when it is bridged it is 450 at 4 ohms

u might not want that but i do believe it has a subsonic filter though

i dont know the price but profiles arent bad in price i bought my profiles cl800 amp for 149 at ikesound and i think it is awesome for the price

stay away from the 400s. i have one and im not really satisfied with its performance. maybe the 500s is a bit better. well my 400s does push my 12" fine, but im sure it should push it a lot more than it does.

when i get my edK 12s i'm gonna be running an alpine mrp-m300 to each of them. 350 watts rms @ 2 ohms (they under rate their power on their old V-powers anyway so its more than 350)

well they might be better than profile but profile is way cheaper and u have to admit i dont know many other brands that sound that good for that price really

the damping factor on mine blew ***. had no ability to control the cone movement. they probably took a half stroke before stopping after the signal stopped. when outside the vehicle, it sounded like a bunch of sloppy deep bass noise. shit my sony amp now is way more accurate than that profile one

and you might wanna check out the prices on alpines OLD vpower's and compare the wattages and price with profile. keep in mind profile is probably really overrated and alpine is most likely underrated. dont refer to the new vpowers because those are gay.
