So I have a 2020 Silverado Crew Cab with Bose audio (I think it has a 6" sub somewhere hidden in the center console). Anyway, I want more bass, but nothing too crazy at is primarily a family hauler. I was thinking of adding this "plug and play" setup but thinking I may want something just a tad better. Anyway I was happy with the sound level and output (I'm obviously no audiophile). Anyway just thinking a setup like that these days would probably be over kill for me. Thinking maybe something in between the almost non-existent bass I have now and what I had before. I have no idea if I want 1 x 10"/12", 2 x 10"/12" or possibly 4 x 8". I want the deepest, cleanest, and loudest (mostly for rap music) I can get for the price without going too crazy haha. Obviously box size will be a major concern. Someone pointed me to this site which has several different custom boxes that fit my truck. https://www.soundoffaudio.com/new-category-1/. I also of course like MTI acoustics boxes but don't see myself paying 1.5K for a box right now. Speaking of money I think roughly being around 2K total said and done would be perfect. Any tips on what subs I should be looking at for my application? I've been looking at the Skar subs and they seem to be pretty decent but I'm open to suggestions this time around. Looking for advice on the whole setup really including subs, box, and amp. Any help is greatly appreciated.
