Opportunity to get a Kenwood Z828, but...

I have heard good things about the Z828, and my friend is not using his anymore because he had to sell his car. THe problem is that he no longer has the serial code for it, is it possible for me to dig this up again somewhere? Or do i have to send it back to kenwood? with receipts and stuff? Please let me know anything that could help.

Not too familiar with the Kenwoods to be honest, but have you tried to check out their website? I am sure they have any support info or even phone numbers youc an call directly to find out some more info.
