Oppinions on New Reciever

I am looking for a new receiver. Mine is an OLD Onkyo Gold Line that I bought from the pawn shop 6 years ago. Its served its purpose but now I want to upgrade. I am looking for a 7.1 channel receiver that is relatively cheap. I am going to buy the speakers after choosing a receiver. I am trying to stay under the $300 mark and here are a two that I found.
