I have stated many times that in real world testing as I have both products in fatmat and Second Skin damplifier in my trunk. I even posted pics of both products in my car. Scroll up and check it out. Also my biggest vibration, flex, rattle........whatever you want to call it I used the fatmat on because I ran out of the SS product and so I slapped that on there going against the grain from what a select few from here said don't go verticle with the fatmat. Well I did and not only is it sticking perfectly fine, but it stopped my biggest rattle and don't even flex anymore. So I consider it dead, call it what you want, but it worked. (Although I have new rattles on my roof since putting in the new system, yep, I will be using more fatmat. ) Also the fatmat was mucho easier to install, didn't cut the shit out of my hands like the SS product did and was much cheaper. Only did the SS because of the hype it got up around here and don't get me wrong, it is doing it's job as well, but not enough for me to go out and spend another 100 some dollars on 40sqft. I will spend the 50 bucks for 100sqft and call it a day. Also I have compared both mats and yeah the damp is a little thicker, but not by much. Only thing I can honestly say that is better is that it does seem a little sticker and it don't have any smell. And to note, I never claimed fatmat "not" to be asphalt. If it is, it is. Whatever, all I know is that it is performing just as good for me as the expensive stuff. One mans crap is another mans treasure. Take it for what it is and lets move on. Sorry, it worked for me and in time if it don't, then I will get on here and let you guys tell me "we told you so!"
