As it is now, I have 2 stroker 15's and 4 kicker dx700 amps. I need 4 1 ohm loads for the amps to put out their peak power...and I'm certain I can get louder subs than the stroker for my purposes. I have an 8 cub box..which fires straight into the cabin of my 99 monte carlo. The goal is to get the seats back on at some point...its gonna be tricky but its dooable. I am considering running a single 18" sub, but it would have to be a quad coil... Considering the DD 9917 or a XXX 18. I get a nice discount on RE, but I doubt that is going to fart out the best SPL..and I also doubt it will be able to take 4k on a daily setup. A single MT 18 is also an option. Also, I am thinking about tossing 2 different 15's in there, they would have to present me with 4 1ohm loads. Quad 2, dual 1...really don't care. I'm looking at the audiobahn immortals...but they get such varied numbers I'm a bit wary. Still...for the price they seem to be a bargain. I have used the search function and have read the horrible flaming you guys give abahn..lol. As it is, they are decent subs for the guy who wants to street beat around at 1 AM, which is why they get such a bad rep. The subs also tend to be overrated as far as power handling. Anyway, I'm worried that if I buy the immortals I will wish I would have spent more money and gone with a better sub. XXX 15's, SX 15's, 9515's... Another issue is that I'm not so confident 8 cubes net is good enough for a pair of 15's...especially something along the lines of a 9515. Any suggestions? Please don't give me the n00b treatment...I'm a mod over at realcaraudio...but typically the guys there don't have much experience with the subs mentioned...and it never hurts to get some opinions...nor does it hurt to start a good discussion
