As for the amp, I really don't think it's a overkill, but you can always adjust the gains to the proper setting for the subs. Like you said you may upgrade your subs one day and you may not need to get another amp.As for the T-tops, I can't help you out too much in that department. But I don't know if I would want to go anywhere with the t-tops off, then get your equipment jacked. Good luck.</blockquote>
