Opinion on this hood for muh car

Was considering going this route with a new hood for my car.....opinions? I gotta paint it black to match of course.

Thats the ZR1 hood right? Ive seen one on a blue vette in a Corvette shop when I was on my honey moon. Looked almost exactly like this.

Im on the fence with this one. I normally dont like flashy, and a neon inset hood scoop is definitely flashy. But vettes are flashy anyway, so like I said, Im on the fence. Id want to see one in person before I decided.

Im kinda with audioholic but with different reasoning.

I kinda like show off, but a Vette is already showing and i usually hate it when people with Vettes show off more. But it looks like it might be pretty hot looking.

The problem is right now the plexi is cracked and the company that made the hood is out of business. So now im trying to source whom made the plexi for it...I may be screwed so I might just spend the cash on some new wheels.

my idea on the neon stuff was to add a color organ to it (a simple circuit that brightens the lights the more the engine makes noise). But if I can't get the plexi im mothballing the whole thing.

I take it the plexi is bent? Unless it has compound bends, it shouldn't be hard to get someone to make for you. If its not bent at all, you should be able to make it yourself, you lazy bastard.

yeah its molded to fit the hole, so it lines up flush with the hood top. would be a bizzitch to fabricate.

Appears to be vacuum formed acrylic.
