online college classes....easy?

I would highly recommend against online classes unless you can basically teach yourself the material. Ive tried taking 3 online classes since ive been in college and have had to drop all of them because they were extremely hard for me. I took an Econ class, Art class, and a history class and they all sucked imo, but i am more a visual/hands on learner. You definately have to enjoy reading to take an online class because the teacher will basically take all their notes/powerpoint slides and post em for you to read. Not to mention if you have a question or anything, you have to email the teacher and all of my teachers usually took 2-3 days to get a response. And while you can use your book on tests and stuff, all of my exams/quizzes were timed so that if you didnt know the material and were flipping through pages you wouldnt have enough time to finish. And teachers know you will use your book/notes so the tests and quizzes i took were worded in a way it was hard to find a straight answer looking through the book or notes. Not to mention most of the finals are actually in class so if you dont know the material your screwed on your final.

Well..It also depends on the schools curriculum. For us, we don't need to email teacher. There is already an built-in forum for the students and teacher to ask questions.

For the quizzes and finals for me, was still online. basically 100% online. So i'll have windows popped up everywhere with all the information i need. Notes typed up, google ready to go, List of terms that i need to know already listed with all the definitions. So what you need to do is talk to people that took that specific online course your interested in and see how it went out. All schools are different so don't expect it to be all the same.

I hear ya on schools being different, and at the time i didnt know of ratemyproffesor.com. My econ class was the one i had the most questions with and we had the forum type thing too and it got to be to the point where ppl would talk shit about the teacher on it because she never checked it or wrote on it not once. There was 80 some questions that were never responded too hah. But yea definatley see what people say about the teacher on rmp.com before you enroll.
