one rca sending signal to four speakers?

I hope that this is just a dumb problem. I have two sets of rca's coming out of my headunit, and speaker wire coming from each speaker to a kicker 350.4 amp. If I put one rca in, I'm getting sound out of all speakers. Any ideas?

rcas preouts are either going out or defective HU. or the rca input on the amp is bad. switch the one rca that works on both inputs on amp so u can rule that in or out the equation

well i changed headunits bc i was upgrading, and I had the problem on both. Both RCA'S will do this separately. Together, I get alternator whine. but IF i have the front rca's going to the front, I get sound from all four speakers. If i have the rear rca's going to the front input, I get all 4 speakers getting sound. Does this mean that the rear input on the amp is probably bad? I mean this is an old amp..
