On average how much does the "Big 3" cost?

Depends on what size wire.. And yes, you will need ring terminals to connect the wire to the desired points. Look under your hood and use a piece of string to determine how long each section needs to be and then buy wire accordingly.

3ft? My alt to battery+ was longer than that.
for mine, battery neg. to chassis is ~5", engine block to neg. is about 16" and alt to pos. is like 2 ft. pathfinder ftw

OP i suggest using some OFC knu. def. a bit more expensive than the CCA but the big 3 needs to be pretty reliable, especially if you upgrade at some point

around $30 but depends on exact car.

95saturn I wanted to solder my ring terminals but I got lazy and never got around to it. Over a year later and I have had zero issues with not doing it. I say it would be best and it's like a why not kinda thing but if you did not I would not be concerned just be sure to check your connections often which you should be doing anyways.

what method did you use to get your ring terminals on your zero gauge? people say a vice but i don't have access to one

LOL exactly what I used. U can get a vice dirt cheap. Go to ur local pawn shop I mean we are talking under $10 for a "used" one it might not be pretty but it does just as good as a new one. Or u can just solder a decent iron and all will set you back a good $25-$40 bucks.

you can even get a tiny bench vice at menards or something, it's just harder to close on the wire (due to leverage issues) I have to hit mine with a hammer to get it tight.

But for the OP just plan like 30 bucks and you'll be fine.

My "big 6" cost me about $100. FML. All OFC wiring, 1/0 from battery to alternator, battery to body, battery to starter, battery to block, 2 AWG from battery to main fuse box, battery to chassis. All wiring is loomed. Terminals are soldered on and heat shrink tubing is used for extra protection. The wires all go into side post terminals for my battery. I also pulled all the original wiring out. Mine is a complete replacement for the crappy factory wiring, not an add on. I figure I I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it right, regardless of cost.
