OMG!!!!! What do I do now!?!?

Ok so I just saved up like 3 paychecks of my hard earned cash and laid it all down for 2 12" Kicker CVR-4ohms and a zx750.1 amp right? OK so if you hadn't caught it yet, the guy at my local car audio place told me that I'll never get the 4 ohm speakers to work properly on my monoblock amp. He said I could run 1 coil from each sub to the amp but I could burn them up and I don't want to do that. I'm really pretty new to this stuff and now I'm afraid I really messed up cuz I can't just exchange them. They haven't been used a full day and no audio place could consider them new I guess so what do I do now????????? I'm so freakin' depressed right now, I just don't even want to think about them anymore after messing with them all day. They sounded fine when I first hooked them up but after a little bit of bumpin' they started shutting off when I would crank them up to halfway or a little over....the red protect light would come on until I turned it down, then they kick back on again and green light comes on. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! Am I really stuck with these with no way to make them work correctly or what?

I'm pretty sure I do.....I have them wired parallel like diagram 1 in the manual

from wat i heard that amp can take 1ohm load. Just be careful with the gains and run a decent electrical system. I.e: some big wires

I dont think they are one ohm stable.The kx series was the one you have is 2ohm stable.

Yeah he said I need a 1ohm stable amp......I just got a really good deal on this zx750.1 though and I gotta keep it...it's badazz

Kicker specifies that the 750.1 is 2 ohm stable. 2 Dual 4 ohm subs wire to 1 ohm. Therefore, when you turn it up the amp will go into protect. However, many people say they can take loads below 2 ohm. So my guess is the gain on your amp is cranked up too high. TURN IT DOWN. And when you bump be responsible. You bought the incorrect subs for that amp, so you gotta deal with it by not turning it up a lot.

I'd suggest you sell that amp and buy something 1ohm stable. Or trade somebody.

I have an autotek Supersport 750.1 that i can trade you. It is one ohm stable. I only used it for a couple of months. Traded up to a 1900 watt super sport.
