True story,

I work at best buy. We have the fast and the furious line though im not proud of it. We carry the LED tail pipes and a few days ago some kid came in and actually asked one of our sales guys if they spit out flames like in the movie.

It was a short story but hilarious for all of us back in install

Yea it is, it involves using a couple of spare spark plugs and a tank of propane for one thing. At least thats what I know.
You can use gasoline to fuel the flame effect also. My bug with its suped up engine would spit out flames from the stinger exhaust when it was warming up because the raw fuel would ignite in the exhaust.

The setups i've seen involved a spark plug in the exhaust pipe towards the end, a separate coil to make the spark plug spark, and then a switch to kill the spark plugs in the engine, so raw fuel would pass through the engine, into the exhaust system, and eventually ignited by the spark plug out back.

spark plugs is the way to go.

trucks TV (same as horsepower TV but for trucks) did it in a truck, it looked great, n very easy how he did it. but damm, u better be careful w that ****

it's not as easy as people make it out to seem.

For one any exasust system of today is entirly to enviromental sound to spit out the needed gasses to do a simple spark relay. Another thing...spark plugs are very inefficient for making a spark using a pizzo ignition or something similar would work much much better.

IN older cars yes sending a kill relay hooked to an ignitor would allow the passed through emisions to ignite but today it requrires an excelerent shot through an injector to really make it work.

Screw stock exhaust systems... just dump raw fuel into the exhaust and light it up. Like an afterburner, but without actually giving you any power gains (unless your car weighs about 10lbs).
