Oldschool Eclipse 6ohm Aluminum 12" - does anyone remember these?

Wayyyy back in the day (2001?) I had two 6ohm Eclipse 12" Aluminum's. One was destroyed by a tool box in my trunk and apparently I put the other (good) one in the attic. I just picked up a 2003 Mustang and was going to put the system together next weekend so I was looking for an old roll of 4ga power wire I had. Didn't find the power fire, but I found the Eclipse.

I was going to pick up an RE SXX or a MTX9500 10" for the Mustang, but I'm wondering if I could use this old Eclipse and save some dough. I've never powered a 6ohm load, the only thing I remember they were 500rms. I can't even remember what this thing sounds like.

Think its worth it? Or should I just buy a new 10" ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

Anyone know the parameters on these? It's been long enough that I can't remember and not having much luck w/Google.

Epic day today. I snapped a picture of the good sub with my phone today. Then looked more in the attic and found the other Eclipse and it isn't blown, the cone is actually two metal pieces and the front came unglued form the back (if that makes sense). I'm wondering if I can carefully epoxy them back together?

Then crazy happenend. A friend called me to a garage sale, where I bought a good condition MTX T9510-44 for $175. Now I have no clue what to do! I couldn't pass up the 9500 at that price.

This is the back of the Eclipse, motor is pretty big.

My friend had two of those in his Thunderbird back in highschool and it pounded like crazy. I still have a magazine with an ad for these before they came out.

They have a linear instead of progressive spider so they can work in small sealed box.
