Older Sub Question

I have two sets of 8" subs just lying around. Thought I'd set up one of the pairs in a sealed box in my car. Looking for a recommendation as to which subs to go with.

The first set are JBL GT82D:

200W Peak

100W RMS

The second set are Kicker F8a:

200W Peak

100W RMS

I realize these are free air speakers but I would be mounting them in a sealed enclosure. I'd be powering either set with a Rockford Fosgate 201s amp. If I went JBL, they'd be wired in parallel and use both channels of the amp (100W RMS from the amp per channel). If I went with the Kicker's I'd wire them in parallel getting the impedance down to 4ohm and then bridge the amp to push 200W RMS to the pair. Suggestions are appreciated! Thanks guys!

The kickers sound nice, good old drivers, but seeing that they are free-air drivers, you'd nee to have a bit more space than the regular subs.....The jbl's might be a better bet if space is tight, but if you have a little room, go with the kickers....Very nice subs, impressive for 8's of that era....

Hmmm. I can't tell the difference. Two 8's running sealed, on the same power.

Just toss a coin.

I like the ported idea over the sealed.
