older Kenwood sub

Hello,I picked up and older Kenwood DB+ 10" sub at a yard sale.I can find no other numbers on it anywhere so can't find specs for it.I would like to build a ported box for it.Does anyone have plans for a box that would work ?Doesn't have to be perfect just going in a work truck.Thanks for any help.

It shouldn't be hard at all. How big is the area that the sub is going into? (L X W X H in inches)

have alot of room so any size would be fine .I dont have a camera that works but the sub has a large raised db+logo in the middle of it

yes where the purple on that one this one is black but looks exact same other than color

so a generic ported box for a 10" sub should work ok?

Those subs were actually very nice. They always sounded better in small sealed boxes. They would play clean and very low.

I only paid 7 dollars for the sub so I suppose I could try both types of boxes.Would anyone happen to have plans for either a ported or seald box for this? Thanks to all who have helped.

have u put a meter on it to make sure the coil is ok? whats it read? it might do decent in a small ported box. you won't be doing any hair tricks off it, but it would add a little to the bottom end there.

no havent did anything to it but for the price I will just try it out.Seems very clean and nothing I can see with my eye looks bad.Just looking for alittle bass.Grandson spends Summers with us so no I don;t listen to country music...have 2 ACDC cd's and the Airbourne cd in my truck.

if you push down on the cone, does it move freely? any scratching/scraping noises?

....just to be sure it's still good.

no noises I can hear....everything seems to move freely
