I finally got all of my equipment bought and installed accept for my subs. Here is my setup

Alpine 9885 head unit

Alpine Type R 6.5 comps

Alpine Typer R 6.5 Coax

Kicker ZX650.4 for the above speakers

Kicker SX900.2 for the subs

I am wanting to go with 2 12" subs and it will be a sealed enclosure. With all of this in mind what subs would you recommend I look at? They will be getting roughly 400 watts RMS a piece. Keep in mind it will be sealed as well. I am looking for a good balance of SQ and SPL.

These are the ones I had considered thus far

Alpine Type R

Boston G5

Polk SR

JL W6

Image Dynamics IDQ

I have never heard anything bad about the Boston G5's. Anyone have any experience with them?

Get the oldschool JL w6 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif for the win! I would just do type R's since it will match with everything else:)

if your going for sound quailty i would highly suggest boston g5's or if you have alot of money go with the spg's

but im also liking the idea of the alpine type r's to keep it nice clean and all alpine
