ok, i know some of you are willing to make one of these....

It would be hard to see clipping/distortion on such a small screen. And a max of 30v display (5v/div x 6 div) might be a problem...

Also no mention of accuracy.

Yeah lol. 1500 RMS is like 40 some odd volts A/C @ 1 ohm which is already past it's capabilities. Cool idea though for the DIY guy. Anything over 1k RMS though requires quite a bit more voltage however...

ah, nice observation. i didnt take any time to look at the specs, nor decipher them, considering my noob status.

i just saw oscope and thought car audio, lol

I guess you could get away with seeing just half the waveform. All you really need to do is see the top curve to check for clipping....

But if you keep a lookout on craigslist or ebay, you can usually find a good old Oscope for around $75 which would run circles around this thing.
