One thing i dont know and reallllly need to know is this.

I have two Orion 10" P series .

I am going to build a sealed box for them !

Each having their own seperate chamber and both rated 500W RMS!

I am wondering what is the difference of Mono vrs sterio per say I did a sterio setup with an amp that pushed 500WRMS to one channel , and also 500WRMS to the other channel one channel to each subwoofer versus Sending 500 Watts to both subwoofers bridged ?

Which is the better setup of the two ? What would be the loudest ?

Would having them setup in sterio like such cause Construction Interfeirence more so than having them Bridged ?

Now, since I am going to build a sealed box for them , does this mean I can actually put a little more watts on them than 500WRMS ??? Like could I hit these Orion P series with 600WRMS each without blowing them since their in a sealed box ?

There's no point in sending a true stereo signal to subwoofers as you cannot hear "stereo" sound in the subbass frequencies.

Honestly the difference in output between 500w and 600w is so minor that you wouldn't even be able to hear the difference. So there's little point in putting much thought into such a minor difference.

It really depends on how the "500w" rating was derived. But in all likelyhood, given the nature of music....you would be fine with a "1200w RMS" for the pair. But, like I said...the difference between 1kw and 1200w is inaudible.

AHHHhhhh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Finally someone who knows !

Thanks so much .. so a mono amplifier it is.

Also when you mean the difference between a 1k and 1200W would be un-audible, are you saying this because of the doubling in power = +3db ?

Thus meaning for me to hear an audible difference my subwoofer would need to be capable of doubling in power which they are not !

So having them bridged is the best way to go ! Since this is the case , and my subwoofers are the duel 4 ohm , leaving me with a 1ohm load bridged I am going to buy the classic HCCA 250G4 .

ANYONE GOT ONE FOR SALE ??

ALso there was a HCCA 250G model that actually said on it 50Watts x 2 . Do you know which model that is ?

You wouldn't have to double the power to hear a difference. Generally a difference of less than 1db will be inaudible (1db is approximately the smallest difference the typical person can detect). The difference between 600w and 500w is less than 1db according to the formula 10*log(power1/power2) (calculates to be .8db), and that doesn't take into account real-world issues such as power compression. So in reality you're looking at a difference of less than .8db.
