OK, here is some info on a system I got quoted

Please offer up any suggestions, I already know I can get product off the web for cheaper than what Earmark quoted.

Alpine head unit - 98XX series

Subs - 2 10" or 12" Bostons

Componets - Boston Acoustics Z series (do I really need to go to this level or will the pros work fine.

Amps - JL Audio - 5001/ and I believe he said the 300/2 for the componets.

All this is going into my cobra and we will be taking out the back speakers in the deck and mach amps (stock). How does this system sound to everyone and please offer up suggestions. I am looking for a nice install for shows but not overboard but an all around crisp sounding system

i would change the subs. never heard boston subs though but take a listen to them hooked to that jl amp and see if you like them or not. for components the boston acoustics are nice. if you want to save money you can get a us acoustics 4065 and bridge it to your comps and have 160 wrms to your comps. us acoustics makes very nice amps and i have been impressed with mine and it cost $130. ever consider 1 12 in a ported box? or maybe a 15? look into image dynamics IDQ subs.

I have thought about doing 1 sub but think the overall look with 2 will be better for when I put my car in shows. The more I think about it, the more I think I will be going with 10's. I am just not a base head like i use to be. I am going to check out a couple more place and make my choice by the end of the month. **** I forgot how much stuff there is out there
