Message: <blockquote data-quote="helotaxi" data-source="post: 4762775" data-attributes="member: 550915">I only use Mobil 1 pure synthetic, but my vehicle is a bit more on the performance side than a 6 banger 'Stang.  I've used just about every oil brand made in my wife's old Jeep.  There's not the huge difference that the marketers make it out to be in a normal car.  Start getting into higher compression engines that are turbo'd or supercharged and things are different.Also, don't buy into the whole every 3k miles lie.  The oil is usually quite good out to 10k or more and the owner's manual on the car usually only recommends no more than every 7500.</blockquote>
