Ohmic resistance is constantly changing in my sub's voice coils... Help!!

I have 2 Audiobahn 1571SE's, and I hooked them up yesterday, looking for a 4 ohm load, I get about 6... So I check everything, and everything seems fine, so I try and test them again, I get a reading of 6 ohms again. So I take everything apart and check the subs individually... The one sub is reading a perfect 3.6 on each voice coil, whereas the other sub is giving me a 6 ohm reading, then I move it a little, and I get a 4 ohm reading, then it's back to 5 ohms.

What's going on? And how can I fix it? The actual wires leading to the center of the sub read 3.6 ohms also, but at the speaker wire terminals, I'm not getting the right thing. I was thinking about soldiering the speaker wires onto the inside of the sub, right onto the little speaker wires (spider maybe?) inside, but when the sub is moving, I figure that it's gonna come loose....

Help meh!

I don't know, everything is so dark, and it looks fine, but one terminal is further from the speaker frame than the other. It might be loose. How will I fix it if it is?

Will soldering it to the ('spider' I guess) work, or will it come loose when it starts going?

I don't think he meant move the cone, I think he meant move the prod on the DMM.
Where did you get the subs from?

Yeah, something more to that effect... I got the subs from some random guy on Ebay, they looked brand new, but they didn't come with like all of the instructions and stuff, so they were like new, but opened.

are you doing this inside or outside?
have you tested them for output yet?

I'm just prepping them in the house.. Tested them with a battery, and they both work, and the one that is the problem was part of a duo, in which his brother blew a VC, but he survived.

The other one I have now is brand new, no problems, just got it yesterday, factory sealed.

Got a 3.8-3.9 ohm reading, after moving that little wire around... Finished installing it, and it's back, hitting hard.

Thanks for the help guys.
