i have an infinity reference component set in my car and the tweeters are in the a pillar, and they get so harsh. i was wonderin what some nice smooth tweeter are that would be around 50-75 bucks. are the cdt silks in that price range any good?
agreed. the cdt silk tweets are nice tweets imo. i liked them. alot softer then the infinity's. try on your eq if you have one backing off on all the frequencies above 3k hz. if that isn't an option try lowering the treble. i suggest a new comp set. what headunit do you have?i wouldnt just replace the tweeters, not all tweets sound good at infinity's passive crossover points. either get a new set or get an equalizer to tone them down.
i wouldn't recommend using a cdt tweeter on the infinity xover. the tw-25 is a good tweeter and a set could probably be had on ebay or something for around $20-30. wouldn't be out too much moneyi have an eclipse cd3000. i just bought this set like 3 weeks ago so i dont really want to get a whole new one.
those are components not tweeters //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gifyou say a set would be around 20-30 dollars? i just found this set i like.http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4609
