So I actually decided to watch a WNBA game, and it is a well played game. Reminds me of the Pistons of 2004. None of this give the ball to Lebron, wait 20 seconds, Lebron drives to the net, gets knicked in the shorts, Lebron cries about it, refs give him 2 free throws. There was actual passing, ball reversal, inside-out, and defense.

In case anybody doesn't know, the finals are currently going on and the Detroit Shock lead Phoenix 2-1 in a best of 5 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Now I'll await the useless banter and the numerous posts stating how unattractive the players are.

Some of them clean up nicely. I saw Swin Cash and she was not that bad looking. Her ebonics drove me crazy though.

I guess you are amused by egotistical ball hogs who's only talent is penetrating and crying.

The women, at least the Shock, play the game the right way. None of this traveling hype machine crap ala, Kobe, Lebron, etc.

Don't get me wrong, the NBA is worse. NCAA is where it is at.

You're right, atleast the WNBA players play the game the way it is intended.

Besides, watching basketball isn't all that exciting to me. Playing it is another beast altogether.

When I think of the WNBA, I think of the Family Guy reference to the crowd attendance. One guy in the whole place saying "Yay!"

After watching the WNBA, I'm beginning to like watching the Shock better then the Pistons. First, they don't have total meltdowns in the playoffs against inferior opponents. They play straight up good defense, and there are no hype machines that are above the game. The Pistons really can't compete in the NBA without a star now, and that's really ashame.

Also the Shock are a much better coached team. I'd beg Lambeer to go to the Pistons.

Phoenix was all sold out, or it looked like it. Detroit has sold out a few Shock games.
