I heard that comment after the game, and it made me hate USC even more, which I thought was physically impossible.

Year 1: Don't go to national championship (for good reason), somehow share national title (thanks AP Poll)...not best in the nation

Year 2: Beats an overrated OU team while the best team in the nation, Auburn, gets left out...still not best in the nation

Year 3: Beat by a Texas team that wasn't THAT spectacular (although very good)...definately not best in the nation

I just don't understand how anyone thinks they have dominated the past 3 years.

Fuk Yoda. You're right about one thing, he will not be a Barry Sanders. But he alreay has MORE physical ability than Emmitt Smith. Emmitt was a beneficiary of one of the best offensive lines ever assembled. Barry Sanders never had that luxury. Year 2: Auburn did get the shaft, but I still think SC would have beat them- I agree OU was overrated

This year: Texas was not THAT spectacular, but V. Young WAS! Young absolutely owned that field and SC failed to do anything defensively to slow him down. Who do you think was better than Texas? Possibly Ohio State, possibly OU- neither were good enough during the regular season to earn thier shot, and I think Texas was luck to get Ohio State when they did, otherwise it likely would have been SC playing someone else. If Texas played Ohio State this weekend, it might be a different story. Texas got it done this year and deserves the credit. OU will be nasty next year though.

I agree with this whole heartedly. Oklahoma didn't even win their own conference and yet had the chance to play for a national title. They were killed by Kansas State in the Big 12 champ game. So instead of the #1 team in the nation playing LSU it was a team that didn't win their conference.

Just as the year before, OU was in a game they did NOT deserve to be in. When you get beaten as bad as they did you can clearly see they didn't belong there. I do think however USC would have beaten Auburn too but it would NOT have been such an easy walk for them.

Anyone remember the year OU faced FSU for the title?? They barely beat FSU who had 0 offense. While Miami was left out of that game for some reason. Miami would have stomped either FSU or OU that year.
