what a dick! if you were a better team you would make those plays, now wouldnt ya? If you were a better team you woulve won, wouldnt ya? Typical sore *** loser.

I have to disagree with this a little bit. You can't say that a great team can't have a bad game. Maybe he was making excuses but hey, every competitor HATES losing, pure and simple. Alot of GREAT teams that were the best in NCAA football or NFL football have lost to teams that were NOT as good. But on that particular game they played better and won the game which is "why they play the game". In my opinon USC was the better team but Texas had a better game plan and made less mistakes.

he didnt give full credit to the team that beat him....I dont understand how could you be the better team and lose. I mean its the Rose Bowl, you are suppose to play your A game.

better team dosen't always win......(miami -ohio st.) all things considered though, usc had the opportunity to be up by 20+ at the half....they wasted and bush leagued(no pun intended on the lateral) .I usc had run lendale white 30-35 times, and let bush decoy ,Then texas would'nt have been close in this game. game decided by trying too much fancy stuff and too much letting Young go w/o pressure .When they started blitzing, Young threw the ball way too soon and if not for that short *** cb trying to jump for the ball he would've int. it and game over. But leinart has all the right in the world to say that. he gave them the credit . Usc beat theirselves more than texas beat them

You must not heard the saying any given sunday! Well it might not be that day but any team at anytime can be beat. Yes it was the rose bowl, but agree that USC beat themselves in this one. Its that simple. If reggie bush was involved more and wouldnt have screwed up when he did, then it would be a different story, even with Vince Youngs amazing game.

I blame the coach- after v young rolled up all those yards in the first half- why the hell wouldn't you have a linebacker spy him the rest of the game? I think USC was better too, but made too many mistakes to overcome. Turnovers = loss

Honestly look at the game...

Both teams had turnovers. Texas had fumbles.

Both teams were the best in the nation.

Both teams funked up.

It all came down to who had the ball last. End of story.
