You obviously don't understand that yes, our markets and consumption are lower than previous years, but the U.S. Economy has stayed more stable than almost every other economy in the world. Including your socialist government as well.

Clearly you sacrifice one thing for another, setting off a reaction. Spend more, inflation or deficit skyrockets.

Also, I'm pretty sure sharing the wealth isn't the most appropriate for these times anyway, since the top 10% wealthy citizens foot the bill for 70% of the governments tax revenue.

OH AND for those reading the headline of that $300B tax cut, it's really just a welfare check for the lower 30-50% of Federal Taxpayers. Those eligible for the receipt are one who pay no fed taxes anyways, but are going to be given money.

That's not a tax cut, that's what we call welfare here in the stats. Canada is known for this stuff, but capitalism and liberalism don't mix too well. Not to mention, how many socialist countries do you see working out? France is about it.

Back to the world economies, take a look at Iceland and how their 3 national banks failed, effectively making their currency near worthless. So no, our country is not doing the worst BY FAR. Learn the facts before you look stupid.

A) You do not know the definition of socialism, so be careful about which countries you're calling socialist. Please review your political spectrum.

B) During this recession, the US economy has not been as stable as the Canadian economy. If you are talking about how stable the respective economy's have been for the last 100 years, please expand on what statistics you are looking at to adjudicate this.

You don't have to be President to make a mistake. I think Geithner was a bit of a fuck up for a nomination. It suggests either the Transition Team can't (or won't) due their due diligence on nominees; alternatively, it suggests that nearly all politicians have taken part in considerable transgressions and that Obama (if he is in fact so different from all other politicians) will have a hard time bringing about the change he seeks amongst the oldest Senate in history.

Not really against him...as I am happy with him scaling back his ambition.

But if you are going to threaten a veto when you are not the President, I think that opens you up to criticism.

There is quite a difference between "I will veto that now" and "I would veto that when President." That's no different than a campaign promise. Again, I don't understand why that's an issue to you.

I don't think he was criticizing the fact that he is "active," he is just pointing out that such activity brings the opportunity for mistakes.

I LOVE OBAMA HATERS!!!! It makes more sense to me as I read and read more of this thread. I see that obama is the ONLY president that EVER made a mistake, or EVER had a few misunderstanding his first WEEK or TWO in office. I see now why you guys hate him as president!!! F*CK out of here. I dont care what anyone say. ANYONE that steped into the president of the USA has lied, cheated, or messed up in some way or other. But Bush, took it to another extreme with his F*ck ups. I really didnt follow the election too much nor did i vote because to me they all can be lying to us. I just wanted Bush to GTFO of office already. I didnt care if Obama, Mccain, Or Hilary would of won. As long as bush got out, I was happy. Now somebody need to get rid of his retarded *** for good!!!
