I just started using it proficiently this week. I'm modeling up an enclosure for someone and all of a sudden my computer locks up every time i do anything with the program. Yeah my computer is old. Earlier I had a ton of programs running and SketchUp was running fine. I added panel measurements, rotated enclosure to cut sub hole, and all of a sudden things went crazy. I even tried closing everything else but SketchUp. I closed everything, reopened SketchUp, and same thing happened. Then I rebooted, opened the file with SketchUp, and still the same problem. I've drawn the sub circle and was ready to erase the cross-lines used to find the circle's center. SketchUp is using just 6 MB of RAM, yet CPU usage is maxing out at 100%. I closed SketchUp, I'm typing this up with Firefox, and everything else seems to be running fine! So this was the first time I've added dimensions prior to being done. Was that a mistake on my part? Has anyone else ever had a problem with SketchUp freezing up like this? Oh and by the way I know this is moreso an OT question, but I know there are a ton of SketchUp users roaming in this section. Thanks! T
