Obsidian 15 on ASPM-1300 vs Cadence F700 vs MB Quarts REF800

I want to be as loud as possible with my Obsidian 15 without compromising my alternator. Right now I have an ASPM-1300 amp which does 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms, and I was wondering whether I should keep it or get either a Cadence F700 which would do 800 watts RMS at 2 ohms, and just get more overall wattage, better efficiency and be louder, OR get an MB Quarts REF800 which would does 650 watts RMS at 2 ohms, and get that for better efficiency, because I've heard that the ASPM is not very efficient. I don't want dim at all in my car. Alt is an 18 year old 80 amp 12v.

I'm contemplating because I've heard that the db difference from 600-900 watts is very hard to hear.

The difference between a few hundred watts will most likely be minimal. I'd be willing to bet you'd be satisfied with the AP amp for now. Give it a try first. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You more then likely won't notice the change. A better change would be if your current enclosure could be improved. If so that will net a better overall alteration of the sound and volume over a few hundred watts.

You will probably have dimming. Read up and see if your car has an ELD(most Hondas do)if it does you will have to unplug/disable it. Then you will need to do the big 3 and the largest AGM you can fit under the hood.

I already have a good box for it. 3.4cubes tuned to 32hz. can't really get better than that.

I'll have dimming even at 2 ohms 600 watts RMS 50 amp pull rate???

mantis might be right, I dont know alot about older hondas

I have an 01 Accord on that cadence doing 800wrms, bone stock electrical, havent hAd any dimming problems

I hope he's not. Either way looks like I should just stick with the amp that I already have and be happy.
Give it a try anyway. If you feel like you need more power or a better quality amp later on then you can try that. If your car has the ELD, it controls the alt and reduces voltage when there is no load present. When you have accessories such as heat, air, etc on the voltage goes up. But it wont sense an amplifier as a load, therefore the voltage will be dropped. Not a good thing when you're pulling from the alt with your amp at the same time. From what I understand, it can be unplugged or bypassed in some manner to keep your alt charging at regular voltage.
