ya ya ya.....point and laugh.

The box will fit nicely in the trunk....just cant get it in there. Fortunately it looks like with the quick removal of the upper half of the back seats it'll slide right in....just ***** ass.

reminder for the youngins....measure twice, cut once.

Sometimes the only way to get a large enough box to make your sub perform well into your trunk you gotta go through the backseat.

Now, it would be a problem if it wouldnt fit through that hole either. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

build in progress.

finished box, eventually it'll be carpeted or painted.

my not hungry snake kissing the lucky to not be eaten alive rat

pics tomarrow or later of the lip bending and seat removal...

I had this same problem, but it actually proved to be better. The bed of an avalanche is slightly less taller in the rear compared to at the cabin, so in order to get my box to fit, i had to take out the rear seats, the midgate, rear window, and supports, and push the box back into the bed through the cabin, then put everything else back in (except the midgate of course). i like the fit though, a bead of silicone along the top of the box, and everythings sealed up, lol

ya..... i managed to use some snippers and make 2 cuts in the lip. After removal of the backseats and a little bending, there should be enough room to slide in. It looks good on paper. hopefully it'll execute nicely too......

box is uuuuuggggllly. but i might just leave it like that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i attempted to carpet.....but that didnt work well lol

I ended up letting the rat go in a lil dense brush area near my apt. When the snakes dont eat and you keep the rat, it's urine and feces make the container and your room smell like all hell. So i just ate the 8 dollars and let it go into the wild. Chances are a hawk or stray cat will **** it up.

now NORMALLY i dont photograp the snakes eating. But this one particular time it was a lol bloody and i thought it was worth a shot

man you just let that big ass snake slither around your room? you are crazy!
nah they (this one and the smaller one) have a cage, but i take them out every day.

UPDATE: it's in

the lip looking in from the front towards the cab

if you couldnt guess, that'd be the back seats. 4 bolts a little jiggleing and they came right out

seatless back seat

here goes nothing. at the time of this **** i still wasnt 100% sure if this was going to work.

VICTORY IS MINE

i had to kick the **** out of it a few times. But after i bend the lip back it'll be awfully hard to get the sub/box out. Especially if every other screw on the subs mount is a specialty screw requiring an adnormal bit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I had a rat bite all the way through my thumb going through my thumbnail. One bite while they're "kissing" and your red tail's dead. If it'll eat frozen thawed or pre killed, do it. At the very least stun the rat. Rabbits are pretty safe to feed live, but not rats or mice.

That's just a baby. My biggest was just over 150 pounds and over 15 feet long.

The carpetabove the lip looks cracked out in the pre victory shot. I had an empty soda can wedged up in there to keep it up as i bent the lip. The back seats almost went back on perfect with the exeption of 2 of the bolts that were extremely hard to get to (removing and replacing). those are only halfway in atm. I'll need to pick up certain type of wrench with a rachet tip to get it all the way in securely. I dont know the specific name of the tool but i knwo where it's at in home depot, and it's not expensive.

All in all. glad i made it in there. And yes i plan on leaveing it ugly as sin in hopes that it'll sound amazing and look fugly to throw people off.

I'm well aware that the rodents, especially rats, have the teeth and will to bite the snakes wether they're scared or hungry/curious. Chances of the rat giving a single lethal bite to the snakes head are pretty stretched. Ussually soon as anything like that touches the snakes head, it jolts back to avoid it. Doesnt mean a bite cant happen, but chances of this hanious single blow killing this snake are pretty slim. Sedomly have i witnessed a rat just bite the snakes head or body without the snake already constricting the rat. When a curious rat does approach the snake and take a nip, it's almost always the body since the heads scared away from the moving sniffing head of the rat. These are also caged raised rodents that have never seen a snake before, and therefor dont see it an instinctively know they're in danger. And this is if the snake hasnt already gone for the head shot itself and is eating the rat.

I think the chances of a lethal bite, or bite wound infection that dispite medical treatment would kill the snake is about as likely getting in as getting stuck by lightening.
