not loud enough on the low end

so im not really happy with my sub stage. at about 35hz and down my output starts to decrease dramatically, i am tuned at 32hz. i have sub up port back, in 8 cubes with about 150 inches of port, with kerfed port and 45s. here is the thing i want the setup to be all about the lowend, playing from 25 to 35hz with lots of output and anything over 40hz i dont care much about at all in terms of output. and it seems that anything under 30hz the sub unloads and there is no output whats so ever the sub just goes frantic. so my question is why am i not loud on the lowend and what can i do to improve it?

How much room does you port have to breath? Did you set the subsonic up right? 3k on that sub is ideal and more power really gets the lows up. Also the box could be bigger 9 cubes with 150 inches of port will be a big difference on the lows. Tuning it lower a bit may help also.

If you want crazy lows your best bet is to go a little bigger on the volume, drop your tuning down to the high 20's and add some port area. Box is gonna be huge but it will be worth it.

yes port has lots of room to breath it had about 8-10 inches from the hatch. and i turned the box around so port is firing into the cabin just to see what would happen. and its both about the same i get a little more output with port back. sub sonic is set for 25. i used a 25hz tone to set the subsonic. ia recomeneds betwen 7.5 and 10 cubes with with 90-160 inches of port. also the lows seem to flex the **** out of my jeep but i dont feel anything lol.

My current(soon to be old) setup is roughly 8.5~cft for a single VVX15, on music I can play down the roughly 23hz not sure my limit on tones though this bish rapes lows.

my **** plays down to 25 before the subsoncis kicks in and it rolls off. it flexes the **** out of my vehicle but i dont feel a **** thing in terms of out put

and that is not a good thing. i got lots of songs from jesse, ones that go down to 20hz, but like i said anything in that range my sub starts going crazy at full excursion

I'm confident in where my SS filter is set I'm trading my VVX15 for 2 OA 12's anyways.

This is for the warden right? If so, the thing about this driver is that it was designed for output and to be peaky. They have very little offer in the realm of inductance. you could try 30hz, but you'll have a diminishing return. I ran into this exact issue dealing with my UFO BTL's, loud *** subs, great cooling, but the low end grunt just isn't there. Dropped in 4hp based subs and the low end was absolutely amazing, lost some out put on the high end .5db at most. They play much flatter too. Just because a sub plays a certain note, doesn't mean its doing it right.

My suggestion in this situation would be to go to 10 cubes, same tuning. Having felt the wardens soft parts (no ****) in person, they're extremely stiff. With you're about of power I would go 10 cubes same tuning, with a basic slot port just round over the edges. Some subs just honestly aren't designed to play low and most likely if you're just moving air and audible output, you're going below tuning. Super big ports won't always offer the best performance either.

styt that sounds good on 2 18" in my living room, I did not realize how good Eminence can sound...lol waking the neighbors at 2am aint a good thing. I will play with this tomorrow.

ya its for the warden. im gonna be upgrading power right away so i dont want to go to much bigger on the box. it almost feels like there is no compression on the low nots (30 and below)

it takes a LOT more cone area and power to feel stuff at 25hz....

I play down to 12Hz in my HT, don't feel a thing but it destroys the house
