is it better to run the woofer with the magnet firing towards the front of the car? or the magnet firing down and the woofer pointing up? what about the magnet outside of the box and the woofer firing into the box?

No. Post pictures of your box and maybe we can get a better idea of what it's tuned to...

The enclosure could be the problem. That's my $.02.

yeah i was planning to make another box but i didnt know if to make it for this one or for the 2 9510's. anyways i want it tuned to 35, i like my bass low. Should i still go with 42sq in of port or try to make the port longer

ill redo my box to a smaller box around 2cu ft like said before and see what happens. How much is it to recone it to a 10" and make it a dual 2?

Try a 2.25cuft box w/ a single 36sq inch port 22" long.

Sub back, port toward passenger side.

a good rule of thump is 15 to 16 sq inches of port per 1 cuft of box volume

No i think that was mistakenly read. Its 2 inches wide by 13.5 tall the actual port is 18 long, so thas 27 by two im looking at around 54. But anyways i think the box has a bad design. ill redoo the box before i burn the sub. i got a sketch on re audios site itll be 2.13 after port and sub displacement tuned to 35 hz with 34 sq in of port. What do you guys think?

Now as far as facing the sub. should i face it up or face it towards the rear like i have it now? what about the idea of having the sub out of the box for show will it be loud or its mostly for show like that?
