Northern wild fires out of control!

Im not sure if you all have heard but things are insane up north here. We have so many uncontrollable wild fires its ridiculas. All the small towns in my area are getting evacuated & alot of roads are blocked so people cant go through.

I can see from my place & highway by my place 3 or 4 around my town in every direction! Emergency crews are all tied up and people seem to be in a frenzy.

I can only pray for everybody in the area & that they dont lose everything they own. I can only hope they get this under control but the wind is so bad its spreading QUICK! Over my house is nothing but black / brown / pink smoke. At one point the sun was almost totally blocked out and getting dark.

I have already packed up everything important to me, picked my favourite car tuner to take, all car audio, loaded up my truck with important or valueables & loaded my daily driver with the pet supplys & the pets them selves if worse comes to worse ( 2 big dogs, bearded dragon, scorpions, crabs, lobsters, 4 birds, fish ) . If it gets to bad im gonna lose alot, can say good bye to the 7 other cars out here & everything in my home as nothing but bush surounds my house and this town.

Some people have already lost there homes I have heard. Make sure to be in contact with any loved ones you know in the area & keep in touch.

Areas effected for sure, slave lake / canyon creek / wide water / not in but around kinuso area / around faust / around the swan hills direction / martin hill area / smith & alot around or inbetween. I am sure I am missing some but this is all I know as of now.

Hope your **** stays ok bro, I know some guys that were evac'd out of CNRL Horizon. Heading back up to Firebag on Thursday, will be looking for smoke from the plane.

I just found out I no longer have my job anymore as well.

Seriously thinking about getting a job framing rebuilding homes around slave lake. I havent had a job framing since my dad passed away years ago. I just couldnt do it anymore so went my own direction but at this point im thinking its the right thing to do in my case.

I'm at Firebag right now and we can see smoke on the horizon from the big fire northwest of us. So far that fire has burned about 600 sq. miles and is about 30kms (20 miles) from us.

Scoffing aside, sorry that you get to experience some of the same we have lately. Oh did I mention, on top of the wildfires we also got baseball size hail (3 cars 2 roofs 1 ac smashed) and I get to redo a bathroom now as well...

Well we Canadians are the toughest aren't we? Atleast that's what George St-Pierre told me. You're just a idiot American that's all. Guy opens a thread talking about a disaster in Canada and you say, who cares. Are you really that dumb. You think we here said who cares when the towers went down, or texas had their disaster or oklahoma had their disaster or Missouri recently had their disaster. Some things are funny and its cool to be patriotic, but when it comes to peoples lives in danger, your comment is ignorant and you need to watch out for karma, Those comments will have your family being effected by the missouri disaster.
