Everyone alive? I still have power but it has been flickering and the Satellite keeps cutting in and out. nearby towns are underwater, but we're still good. My parents and half the town/area is without power. We had rain all day and it turned to sleet about an hour ago. We have about 1/8-1/4" so far.

LOl this is true but I am on call for work if the power goes out there. I also have some leaking that I need to get fixed tomorrow. I guess i will do some patching in the morning and call the insurance company.

I knew the roof needed replaced so I guess its better to have the insurance cover it than to take the 7-8k out of my pocket. I have never turned anything in to homeowners before so I guess it should be okay.

Just read over your policy really well. I would run it through insurance though. Get that ball rolling, then repair it your self with the best affordable way you can and have the insurance pay the "cost" of repair minus what ever deductible you may have.

Thats what I;m going to do. I have a contractor/roofing guy that does excellent work for cheap so we'll see what they come up with.

Yea im still up and running. although i have a feeling power is going out within the next hour or so.

Im in NYC.

Manhattan is underwater. so is part of brooklyn.

rockaway/howard beach is completely under water.

Nothing in my area. Most likely get the worst of it tommorrow.

Been having some heavy winds up here and rain, nothing too serious though. Power outages been happening all across southern and central maine. I have a feeling my power will probably end up going out sometime tonight

NYC and Jersey got hammered. Saw on the news last nite that the Hudson River was 4 blocks into Manhattan. da ***. Southern CT is swimming too. I'm 20 miles north of the Sound and power only flickered. Got lucky. Another day off of work tho, think I'll finish my sub box.

lol she never saw ghostbusters? and i live over in western ny, so all we got was a glorified wind and rain storm. literally nothing happend. i delivered pizzas in it.
