if the US market crashes, someone will take our place. that's where china comes in. i doubt that making cheap toys and plastic umbrella's is there most lofty goal. and russia wouldn't side with north korea, but i believe they would possibly side with china, who most definately wouldn't side with us. we'd have to hope they stay nuetral and don't back north korea. but this is a moot point, since i don't think north korea is doing anything except rattling their weak little sabre to get attention from a new american president.

I don't think making the toys or whatever is their goal, but it's their mainstay. US is about the only other 1st world nation that is doing trade with China that's not requiring a high tax rate of products coming, so there's no competition for them here. China has more to lose than you think, even if they are to become the next superpower they would still need the US to stay afloat so i doubt if they would side against them. China will not do anything to us at this point because it won't do them any good at this point.

N.Korea may or may not be trying to scare the new president. I honestly don't know. However, dictators are crazy and Kim Jong Il is no exception. He is soon on his way out and may wanna go out with a bang.

How??? To my knowledge you can't get in or out of North Korea save for the small number of tourist they let in each year and even then their travel is very restricted.
