after they fixed mine the second time (basically put my case on new internals) it works amazingly. much faster than the original, doesnt sound like a jet engine, barely gets warm.

OP, try unplugging and plugging back in the power supply. maybe that needs to be reset? its one of the things they are going to make you do when you call them anyway.

xbox360 is the single most repaired/failed game console EVER...... Fact, read it on yahoo not to long ago. My friend is a big gamer...sent his in 3 times now.

how long do i need to leave it unplugged? after it happened i unplugged all the cables and let it sit for about 15 minutes before trying again...

does it keep giving you the red light? cause i remember mine gave it to me once and it didnt do it again for like 6 months until it broke.

same EXACt thing happened to me. mine broke a few days ago for good so sending into microsoft.

1. With the console off, press and hold the sync up button (the small white one)

2. While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console

3. Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.

4. During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you

to use it normally.
