No power to HU

so recently i put a new hu in my car ( kenwood ) [from craigslist] its a very nice hu and worked perfect for about an hour and when i came back outside my hu didnt work, also i noticed my car's clock didnt and my dash lights ( serivce engine, abs etc... ) i checked every single fuse and nothing was blown, at one point in time my dash lights came and my clock would dim but would not show any number, still my hu does not work. i tried hooking up my old hu and it did not work either. so i know the kenwood works still. hopefully... i really am stumped at this point and have no idea what to do next.. again every fuse is fine and everything is hooked correctly, even tried grounding the hu different.

I would disconnect the dimmer, switched power, and constant power wires (in that order) from your HU harness and see when the car's functions return to normal. Then take it from there.
